Lisma Kemp Physiotherapists is a registered Physiotherapy practice based in Durbanville, Western Cape.

Lisma Kemp Physiotherapists proudly opened their doors in 2019. We started out as a Sports and Orthopedic practice in Durbanville and has recently grown into a secondary practice based in Virgin Active, Cape Gate.

We are passionate about our patients and always strive to provide the best care and holistic management in a multidisciplinary team structure. This allows us to fully educate and equip our patients in order to reach their maximum potential.

Meet the Physiotherapist

Lisma is a proudly born and bred Capetonian. She obtained her Bachelors in Physiotherapy at Stellenbosch University and completed her Community Service year at Tygerberg Tertiary Hospital in the Western Cape.

She started her private practice career at Panorama Mediclinic where she developed a keen interest in Sports Injuries and Rehabilitation as well as Orthopaedic Physiotherapy.

She completed numerous post-graduate courses, making her the best in the business. Courses completed include Strapping and Taping courses, Anterior Knee Pain, Specialised Foot and Ankle Course, Dry Needling, Sports Massage and Myofascial Trigger Points and many more.

Lisma is also a qualified Level One to Three First Aider and has completed her qualification with Boksmart and SARU to serve as a Physiotherapists at Provincial School Level.

In 2019 her dream became a reality and she opened her own Sports and Orthopaedic Physiotherapy practice based in Durbanville. She was fortunate enough to expand into a second practice which is now open in Virgin Active, Cape Gate.

Currently, she is involved at the Western Province Rugby Union (WPRU)  providing Physiotherapy for some of their school teams. This includes being involved as a Physiotherapist for the WP and School Select XV at the World School Festival. At the Grant Khomo Craven Week, she was also the only Physiotherapist for the WP U/13 and U/16 teams.

During the September holiday, she assisted WPRU as a Physiotherapist for their Iqhawe Development Team. Iqhawe is South Africas’ premier developmental rugby tournament for U/15 players. Her interest in rugby also expanded to being appointed as the Physiotherapist for Brackenfell Rugby Club where she also assists with their First Teams’ strength and conditioning training.
